J.C. Beaglehole Room Finding Aids

Archives are records that have been appraised to have historic value and therefore require permanent preservation. They are described according to archival principles of provenance, series, and original order.

The J. C. Beaglehole Room is the official repository within the Library of archival material. This includes collected archives and manuscripts and some University archives.

This is a new web page for reporting our archival holdings in accordance with the international standard Encoded Archival Description (EAD). A programme is underway to convert all our earlier paper-based listings, which are currently available only in the reading room.
