Working at the Library

Considering a career at Victoria University’s Library?

If you are:

  • a new graduate thinking about your future career;
  • considering a career change;
  • a library professional looking for the next step in your career;
  • looking for interesting part-time or casual work

Victoria University’s Library might be for you!

It’s really varied

Our modern academic library is a dynamic and varied place to work with roles available in a wide range of areas including client services, resource and acquisitions, academic support, collection development and management, special collections, project management and technology.

It’s a great place to work

We have a collaborative culture, and support the development of our staff, which makes it a great place to work. But don’t just take our word for it - hear what some of our team members say about working here.

Do I need a library background?

No! In fact our people come from many different backgrounds, including customer service and retail, as well as from other libraries. Some are students or new graduates; others are career-changers who have leapt to the library and information world.

How do I find out more?
